Physiotherapy Overview

Physiotherapy can be used to treat a range of problems such as:

  • Acute and chronic soft tissue injuries
  • Back pain
  • Joint pain
  • Arthritis
  • Whiplash
  • Neurological conditions

Treatments include: mobilisation, manipulation, massage, electrotherapy, acupuncture, taping, trigger point release, exercise rehabilitation and postural re-alignment.

Sports Massage: The prime purpose of sports massage therapy is to help alleviate the stress and tension which builds up in the body’s soft tissues during physical activity. Where minor injuries and lesions occur, due to overexertion and/or overuse, massage can break them down quickly and effectively. Above all, it can help prevent those niggling injuries. Sports massage tends to be deep and intense.

Acupuncture: Acupuncture involves the insertion of very thin needles through the patient’s skin at specific points on the body. It is also used to treat chronic pain and joint pain.
